About Us

Passionate about indoor plants.

John Simone, owner of Inkanyezi Green, studied at the University of Natal in Pietermaritzburg, obtaining a degree in Agriculture, majoring in Horticulture. John has spent most of his 34 year working career working with indoor plants, having been the Managing Director of the largest interior plantscaping company in South Africa for 13 years between 2001 and 2014. His passion for indoor plants - and horticulture in general - eventually led him to open Inkanyezi Green in 2022.

John met his wife Linda while serving as General Manager for a smaller horticultural company. They have been married for 24 years and have 3 sons. Pairing up in life and business, Linda works as an administrative support for Inkanyezi Green.

Rich Soil for Success

In 2014 the Simone family moved to the Western Cape and John started marketing LVG’s product, having had a relationship with LVG since 1990. In 2017, LVG reviewed their strategy and began appointing agents for the various regions of South Africa. As a result of this process John initially became an LVG Sales Agent, and on 1st of January 2021 he was appointed as the LVG Sales and Handling agent for the Western Cape.

Partnering with LVG Plants

Throughout his many years of experience in the industry, John has built strong relationships with many parties in the indoor plant industry and as the LVG agent in the Western Cape, markets their product throughout the province.
